After all my work, I was so proud of my very first jar of homemade pear preserves, that I removed my flowers from my kitchen table and I set the pear jar on my table as my centerpiece for a few days and no one was allowed to eat it. A few days later, after I had gotten over all my hard work, I was ready to let someone enjoy them.
